Due to popular demand, CAA is offering a live web stream of the Tertiary Update Day on Friday 19 June for our members who are unable to attend in person. This will allow all members the opportunity to hear from 18 different tertiary providers about what's new, what's changed and what you need to know from them.

Places are limited both for actual physical attendance and attendance via the web stream and registrations for both are mandatory. For those attending via the web stream, we need to create individual access details.

Registrations for actual physical attendance or attendance via the live web stream will close on 9 June 2020, or earlier if places are filled.

Cost: - The cost to physically attend Tertiary Update Day is $49.50. The cost to attend electronically via the live stream is $44.00.

Presenters: On this day, you will hear from a range of tertiary providers about what's new, what's changed, and what you need to know from them.

Conditions of Registration and Attendance for Delegates

(a)   Applications to register for the Careers Advisers Association of NSW & ACT Inc ABN 58 877 417 536 (“CAA”) Tertiary Update Day on 19 June 2020 (“Event”) must be made using the prescribed online form.

(b)   The person registering for the Event (“Delegate”) agrees and acknowledges that CAA may reject any such application and shall notify the Delegate if the Delegates’ application is rejected.

(c)   This Agreement commences when the Delegate has submitted the online application form. This Agreement will terminate at the end of the Event, unless terminated earlier by CAA at its absolute discretion.

(d)   The Delegate must pay the fee set by CAA in relation to the Delegates’ attendance at the Event (“Delegate Fee”) and if requested must provide to CAA a transaction receipt by the due date set by CAA. In the event the Delegate fails to make payment, CAA may terminate this Agreement and cancel the Delegates’ registration without notice;

(e)   At the Event and in any dealings associated with the Event, the Delegate must act in a manner consistent with the good name, goodwill, reputation and image of CAA and in compliance with the guidelines and directions of CAA.

(f)    The Delegate is receiving a non-exclusive license to access the live stream and all rights, title and interest in the live stream (including any content provided through the live stream) are reserved by CAA and its licensors.

(g)   The Delegate agrees to rely on the content or materials provided via the live stream at your own risk.

(h)   The Delegate acknowledges that CAA does not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any content or endorse any opinions expressed via the live stream.

(i)    The Delegate acknowledges that the suggestions or advice contained in the presentations should not be relied upon in place of professional or other advice. The Delegate must verify the accuracy of any information before relying on it. The content of the live stream is provided on an “as is” basis without any warranties of any kind (express or implied).

(j)    The Delegate acknowledges that the content on the live steam might be inaccurate or otherwise inappropriate. All content is the sole responsibility of the presenter and CAA does not approve or control the content or take responsibility for such content.

(k)   By accessing, viewing or using the live stream, the Delegate expressly agrees to hold CAA harmless of any liability and agree that the liability of CAA, its officers, employees, contractors, representatives and licensors, is limited to the price paid by you to attend the event.

(l)    The breach of any provision of this Agreement by the Delegate will entitle CAA to terminate this Agreement without notice.

(m) CAA may at any time and in its absolute discretion amend, vary, substitute, replace, and/or modify the included benefits of the Delegates’ registration including but not limited to the time and date of the Event, venues, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and the program for the Event.

(n)   The Delegate expressly agrees to hold CAA harmless in respect of any amendments to, variations to or cancellation of the Event, program or any aspects relating to the Event.

(o)   The Delegate agrees and acknowledges that CAA makes no guarantees, warranties or representations as to the material and information to be provided or presented at the Event and as to the benefit that will be obtained by the Delegate by participating in the Event.

(p)   The Delegate expressly releases CAA, its employees, agents, and subcontractors, from any claim of misrepresentation which it has or may have against CAA and indemnifies CAA against any loss or damage howsoever arising or howsoever caused.

(q)   The Delegate agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified CAA against any liability, actions, claims, demands, damages, costs and expenses (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) incurred or suffered by CAA in connection with or arising in any way out of the Delegates’ attendance at the Event and will continually indemnify CAA against any cost, loss, liability, or damage (whether direct or consequential including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill or loss of opportunity) that CAA incurs as a result of the Delegates’ attendance at the Event.

(r)    CAA shall not be liable to the Delegate for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss or damages howsoever arising (including in negligence) including arising from the termination of this Agreement.

(s)   Without prejudicing the rights of CAA, the Delegate agrees that CAA’s total aggregate liability for all and any claims relating to this Agreement and the Delegate’s attendance at the Event is limited to the amount paid by the Delegate to CAA.

(t)    CAA may terminate this Agreement at its absolute discretion at any time by giving the Delegate notice in writing. The Delegate expressly releases CAA from any claims it has or may have in the event this Agreement is terminated by CAA.

(u)   This Agreement will be governed by the laws of New South Wales, and the parties irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State.

 

(v)   This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties in respect of the Event.
