In 2020, the Careers Advisers Association of NSW & ACT Inc celebrates its’ 45th Anniversary and we have planned an exciting, fun-filled Annual Conference to celebrate the occasion. We will be educated in style on Friday 30th October 2020, as we take Conference to Sydney’s heritage entertainment precinct, the iconic tourist destination, Luna Park! Conference dinner coincides with the famous Luna Park halloween event, "Halloscream" which, in addition to the usual thrills Luna Park has to offer, brings a scare-fair with additional hair-raising adventures and roving park demons!

All celebrations aside, we have a great professional development program lined up for this not-to-be-missed event for high school Careers Advisers.

Pre-Conference Activities:  We kick off on the afternoon of Wednesday 28 October with a tourism and hospitality industry update at the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) at Manly. ICMS are hosting Careers Advisers for dinner in the 'Castle on the Hill', a historic venue made famous as the filming location of Baz Luhrmann's 2013 adaptation of The Great Gatsby.

On Thursday 29 October, delegates will visit the newly-built facilities at Macquarie University and hear from a range of international businesses from the Macquarie Park Innovation District, a vibrant technology park set to revolutionise the way collaboration and innovation is catalysed. With a focus on careers of the future and drivers of change, find out about the jobs in the fastest growing industries, transferable skills and new frontiers in education. Delegates will also be able to attend Careers Adviser round tables and connect with their industrial Careers Advisers special interest group.

On Friday 30 October, the lineup includes workshops on: the future of the Careers Education industry; Student Disengagement Programs; Opportunities in Local Government; Humanitarian Engineering; Education Services Australia's online solutions for career development; Technology for Careers Advisers and many more.
